What SignalTide Directs

One Founder-Led View From Property Promise to Guest Experience

Michael begins on-property, compares what leadership intends with what guests are led to expect and what they actually encounter, then turns the findings into a priority plan. The 12-month partnership addresses the approved guest-facing priorities while keeping specialist operating responsibilities with the property or the appropriate expert.

One accountable guest journey

The work is integrated because the guest never experiences the property in vendor categories.

A guest may discover the property through search or an OTA, judge it through imagery and language, verify it through reviews and policies, complete the decision through a booking engine, receive pre-arrival information, and finally meet the staff. Every transition either strengthens confidence or introduces friction.

SignalTide does not start by selling a website, SEO package, content calendar, or social retainer. Michael starts by finding which parts of that decision are actually weakening, then directs the work required to correct them.

01
IMMERSION

Property & Guest Journey Immersion

Michael starts with the property itself — leadership intent, staff context, arrival, rooms or treatments, public spaces, service moments, and the real experience the operation is designed to deliver.

On-property observation
Leadership and staff working sessions
Arrival and experience review
Intended property promise
Guest-facing touchpoint inventory
Available performance context
Competitive context
Executive priority plan
02
ALIGNMENT

Promise-to-Experience Alignment

SignalTide compares what leadership intends to deliver, what guests are led to expect before arrival, and what they actually encounter so the priority gaps become visible before solutions are prescribed.

Leadership intent vs. guest expectation
Property promise clarity
Pre-arrival expectation gaps
Arrival reality
Room, treatment, amenity and service alignment
Policy and practical-information alignment
Cross-touchpoint inconsistency
Priority sequence
03
POSITIONING & EVIDENCE

Positioning, Trust & Original Evidence

SignalTide makes the property's real strengths easier to understand and believe. Original evidence is used when it helps guests see what generic hospitality language cannot prove.

Positioning and promise clarity
Original property photography
Short-form video where useful
Room, spa, amenity and detail evidence
Leadership and staff perspective
Neighborhood and destination context
Trust and reputation signals
Reusable guest-facing assets
04
DISCOVERY & DECISION

Discovery, Reputation & OTA/Direct Decision

SignalTide examines how guests discover, compare, verify, and choose the property across search, Maps, OTAs, reviews, editorial content, AI-assisted research, and the official direct path.

Discovery and comparison review
OTA-to-direct comparison
Google Business Profile direction
Reputation and review signals
Local and organic visibility where relevant
Competitive decision context
Structured content and entity clarity
AI-search readiness where relevant
05
CONTINUITY

Booking, Pre-Arrival & Arrival Friction

After the guest chooses the property, SignalTide follows the handoffs that can still weaken confidence: booking, confirmation, policies, practical information, arrival expectations, and the transition into the real property experience.

Room or treatment selection
Rate, offer and policy clarity
Reservation or scheduling handoffs
Confirmation and pre-arrival information
Directions, parking and arrival expectations
Mobile usability
Inquiry and phone paths
Behavior and conversion tracking where available
06
ACCOUNTABILITY

Founder-Led Direction & Scope Accountability

Michael stays directly involved across the year, setting priorities, leading the approved guest-facing work, measuring what changes, and identifying when the right answer belongs to property leadership or a specialist outside SignalTide.

Performance and evidence review
Seasonal priority changes
Leadership updates
Guest-journey reassessment
Approved guest-facing execution
Specialist handoff when required
New opportunity evaluation
Annual executive review

THE 12-MONTH STRUCTURE

Four 90-Day Phases, One Annual Partnership

The immersion establishes the priority order before execution begins. The remaining phases address what matters most across the promise, guest decision, pre-arrival, arrival and real experience, then adapt the work to evidence, performance and seasonal conditions.

01Months 1–3

Priority Alignment

Address the highest-priority gaps identified during the Founder-Led Guest Journey Immersion. Work may include positioning, guest-facing messaging, expectation-setting, trust, pre-arrival or arrival clarity, content alignment, booking friction, analytics, and digital infrastructure when those issues are weakening the guest journey.

02Months 4–6

Promise & Trust

Strengthen how the property is understood and evaluated across discovery, reputation, property content, neighborhood context, policies, offers, and the information guests use to compare the hotel's promise with alternatives.

03Months 7–9

Decision, Arrival & Experience

Review guest behavior and friction across comparison, room or treatment decisions, booking handoffs, pre-arrival communication, arrival expectations, policies, trust content, and the on-property experience, then refine the journey around what the evidence shows.

04Months 10–12

Performance & Next Priorities

Strengthen what is working, correct what remains misaligned, prepare for upcoming demand periods, and complete an executive review that establishes the next guest-journey priorities for leadership and any required specialists.

HOW DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE IS HANDLED

Fix the touchpoint causing friction, not the one a vendor happens to sell.

The website is one guest-facing touchpoint among search, Maps, OTAs, reviews, booking technology, pre-arrival communication, and the physical arrival. SignalTide does not assume it is the problem before the immersion produces evidence.

When the findings show that messaging, page structure, content, mobile usability, trust signals, analytics, or the booking handoff are weakening confidence, Michael directs the required corrections inside the priority plan.

WHAT CAN REMAIN IN PLACE

Existing domains and useful brand assets can remain
Approved booking and reservation platforms can remain
CRM, channel-management, payment, and property systems can remain
Existing pages can be improved when the underlying structure is sound
New digital work is prioritized only where the guest journey requires it
Technology decisions follow the executive action plan rather than lead it
